About 1794-OB8

The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module is a standard current-sourcing digital output module that is designed for the Allen-Bradley distributed Flex I/O control system. The Allen-Bradley Flex I/O system offers all the functions of a large rack-based I/O system in a low-cost, compact, and modular design. A typical Flex I/O system consists of a terminal base unit where all I/O modules are installed, a power supply, an adapter module that relays the configuration data to and from the I/O modules, and a combination of up to 8 I/O modules. The 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module belongs to the current-sourcing digital output module product line. The 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module provides 8 sourcing output channels that are not isolated from each other and that are arranged in 2 groups of 4 channels each. Every output channel has a maximum current capacity of 0.5 Amps (with 4.0 Amps of aggregate current per module) and a 2.0 Amps surge current rating for 50.0 milliseconds.

Each of the Allen-Bradley 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module’s output circuits has a nominal on-state voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and a wide operating voltage range between 10 and 31.2 Volts DC. The 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module has a minimum on-state current of 1.0 milliamp and a maximum current rating of 500 milliamps per channel. It has a maximum voltage drop of 0.5 Volts DC per output, and a maximum leakage current of 0.5 milliamps in the off-state. The 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module requires voltage supply from an external DC power source which provides a 10 to 31.2 Volts DC supply voltage range and a 10 to 35 milliamps supply current range. The 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module requires a terminal base unit for all of its field-side wiring, and it comes with 8 yellow individually-numbered LEDs for field-side status updates.

The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB8 Flex I/O Digital Output Module is a 32-channel output module designed for the Flex I/O system. This module provides 8 non-isolated sourcing outputs with 24 Volts DC nominal voltage ratings, and 500 milliamps of current rating per channel.
