The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB32P Flex I/O Output Module is a 32-point digital output module from the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O module series. The 1794-OB32P Flex I/O Output Module provides 32 non-isolated, self-protected sourcing outputs with 0.5 Amps of maximum current capacity per output channel and 14 Amps of rated aggregated module current. The outputs are arranged in 2 isolated groups of 16 output channels each which support separate voltage sources. Each output circuit has a nominal on-state voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and an operating voltage range between 10 to 31.2 Volts DC. Each output circuit also has a minimum on-state current of 1.0 milliamp and a maximum current value of 500 milliamps. Each of the 1794-OB32P Flex I/O Output Module’s outputs has electronic protection which protects the module by automatically shutting it down in the event of a short-circuit, over-temperature, or overload condition. The module does not send a fault message to the processor when there is a fault, however, it automatically recovers upon the removal of the fault.
The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB32P Flex I/O Output Module draws power from an external DC power supply (rated at 24 Volts DC) and it has a maximum Flexbus current rating of 80 milliamps and a maximum power dissipation rating of 5.3 Watts. All of the Flex I/O modules are installed terminal base units which provide the installation bases for I/O module installation as well as the terminals for the field wiring. The terminal base unit terminal wiring also allows for the hot insertion and removal of the I/O module without needing to disconnect the field-side wiring, existing connected I/O modules, or the entire system power wiring setup. The 1794-OB32P Flex I/O Output Module has 32 individually-labelled status LEDs that indicate the field-side status of each output point. It has an open-style enclosure and maximum mounting dimensions of 94 x 94 x 69 millimeters (3.7 x 3.7 x 2.7 inches).
