The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module is a digital output module that comes with 16 non-isolated and protected output circuits. This module belongs to the Flex I/O digital output module family of modules that are designed to transmit binary data to connected output devices in a 2-state data format. The 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module connects directly to a terminal base unit (the recommended base units are the 1794-TB3, 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3SK, and the 1794-TB3K units), which connects it to the I/O bus and connected field devices in the vicinity. These terminal base units provide the wiring base for the I/O module, which allows for the safe insertion and removal of the I/O modules under power without disturbing the existing field wiring, other I/O modules, or the system power. The 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module features electronically-protected outputs which automatically shut down the module in the event of a short circuit, overload, or over-temperature situation. The 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module does not send a fault report to the processor, and the module automatically recovers from the shutdown upon the removal of the fault condition.
The Allen-Bradely 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module has 16 non-isolated and electronically protected outputs that are arranged in 2 groups of 8 output channels each. Each output point has a maximum load capacity of 0.5 Amps (with 8.0 Amps of total current per module) and it can maintain a maximum surge current rating of 2.0 Amps for 50 milliseconds. The 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module has an on-state current range between 1.0 milliamp and 500 milliamps per output channel. It also has an on-state range between 10.0 and 31.2 Volts DC and a nominal voltage value of 24.0 Volts DC. Each of the 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module’s channels has a maximum signal delay duration of 1.0 millisecond for the on to off time and 0.5 milliseconds for the off to on time. An external 24 Volts DC power supply connected to the terminal base is required for operation, and the module draws 80 milliamps of Flexbus current at 5 Volts DC and it has a maximum power dissipation of 5.3 Watts at 31.2 Volts DC.
The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB16P Flex I/O Digital Output Module is a 16-channel output module with protected outputs. This module provides 16 non-isolated sourcing outputs with a 24 Volts DC nominal voltage rating and 500 milliamps current rating per channel.
