The Allen-Bradley 1794-OA8K Flex I/O Conformal Coated Digital Output Module is an 8-channel digital output module in the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O series. This module is designed to provide a low-cost yet high-performance digital output solution to a wide range of distributive industrial applications. The 1794-OA8K Flex I/O Conformal Coated Digital Output Module features conformally coated circuitry and parts that allow it to meet the noxious gas resistance requirements of the ISA/ANSI-71.040-1985 Class G3 environmental protection standards. An external 120 Volts AC power supply is required for operation. This power supply provides an 85 to 132 Volts AC operating voltage range and maximum power dissipation of 6.3 Watts at 1.0 Amp of current. The 1794-OA8K Flex I/O Conformal Coated Digital Output Module has 8 non-isolated output circuits in a single group of all 8 channels. Each output circuit has a maximum output capacity of 0.5 Amps (4.0 Amps per module) and a maximum surge rating of 7.0 Amps for 40 milliseconds. Each output channel has an operating on-state voltage range of 85 to 132 Volts AC (120 Volts AC nominal) and an on-state current range of 5.0 milliamps to 500 milliamps.

The Allen-Bradley 1794-OA8K Flex I/O Conformal Coated Digital Output Module has an on-state leakage current value of 2.25 milliamps and a maximum voltage drop of 1.0 Volt at 0.5 Amps of current. The signal transmission on each output channel has a maximum delay time of over half a cycle from on to off and from off to on. The 1794-OA8K Flex I/O Conformal Coated Digital Output Module requires a terminal base for installation and for the field-side wiring. The compatible terminal base units include the 1794-TBN, 1794-TBNF, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TBNK, 1794-TBKD, 1794-TBNFK, 1794-TB3SK, and the 1794-TB3K bases and they provide a wiring base for the installation of I/O modules as well as support removal and insertion under power without needing to rewire the module or the entire system. The 1794-OA8K Flex I/O Conformal Coated Digital Output Module has 8 LED status indicators for each output circuit.
