About 1794-IT8

The Allen-Bradley 1794-IT8 Thermocouple/Millivolt Input Module is an analog thermocouple input module from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Flex I/O system. The Allen-Bradley Flex I/O system is a compact, modular I/O system for distributed applications that can perform any or all of the functions of a common rack-based I/O system. A typical Flex I/O system comprises a terminal base with terminal strips for terminating the wiring inputs, an adapter/power supply module which supplies to the internal logic operation power for as many as 8 I/O modules, and the I/O modules themselves which perform specific functions related to the users’ applications. The 1794-IT8 Module’s power comes from the system adapter/power supply and it has an operating voltage range of 19.2 to 31.2 Volts DC (24 Volts DC nominal) and a maximum current rating of 150 milliamps at 24 Volts DC input voltage.

The 1794-IT8 Module has 8 individually isolated input channels with a 76.5-milliVolt nominal input voltage rating and 16 bits of input resolution. This module supports the B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S, T, and L types of thermocouples. The 1794-IT8 Module comes with 2 factory-supplied cold junction compensators which provide cold junction compensation on the inputs and which are designed to be mounted on terminal bases like the 1794-TB3T base. The 1794-IT8 Module receives analog input signals from external input devices such as temperature sensors, scales the signals by using fixed digital filters, and then converts these signals into a binary format for storage and transmission to the controller. The 1794-IT8 Module has a maximum filtering accuracy of 0.025% of the full-scale range at +0.5 degrees Celsius and a maximum throughput time of 325 milliseconds per channel.

The 1794-IT8 Thermocouple/Millivolt Input Module is an analog thermocouple input module from the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O system. This module provides 8 individually-isolated input channels that accept thermocouple/millivolt inputs, and it supports the B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S, T, and L types of thermocouples.
