The 1794-IRT8 module is a thermocouple/RTD analog input module that comes in the FLEX I/O series by Allen-Bradley. This series not only includes input and output devices but spare parts that work alongside the I/O devices to provide a whole input and output system. These modules are compatible with Allen-Bradley programmable controllers (PLCs). This module is a Series A module that provides isolation between the user side and the system side, with a common-mode voltage rating of 4 Volts DC, and an open sensor that can be detected. The installation of the Allen-Bradley 1794-IRT8 thermocouple/RTD analog input module follows the same standard procedure as all the other modules in the FLEX I/O series. This procedure involves simple steps that can be performed quickly. The module needs to be mounted on a terminal base, the base’s keyswitch needs to be rotated to the required position, the Flexbus needs to be pulled to the left, and the module needs to be aligned with the terminal base.
