About 1794-IP4
The 1794-IP4 module is a pulse counter module that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley and included in the FLEX I/O series of input and output modules. This module has been approved to be used in hazardous industrial locations by the North American hazardous location standards and it can be mounted on a 1794-TB2, TB3, or TB3S terminal base unit. The procedure for mounting the module is somewhat easy but still, it is recommended to have a qualified technician install the module to ensure that it has been done appropriately. The Allen-Bradley 1794-IP4 pulse counter module’s base keyswitch needs to be rotated clockwise to the proper position so that the module can be mounted on the base and the flex bus connector needs to be pulled to the left. Once these 2 adjustments have been made, the pins on the bottom of the module need to be straight and aligned with the terminal base. Once the pins have been aligned, the module needs to be pressed firmly down until it clicks into place on the terminal base.
