About 1794-IF4I
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1794-IF4I analog input module has 4 input points. It is part of the Flex I/O series of Allen-Bradley input and output modules. All 4 of the 1794-IF4I module’s input points are isolated and they are numbered from 0 to 3 on the module’s label. The label also includes a green LED known as the “OK” LED that lights up when power is applied to the module but that remains off of the power is switched off or disconnected. The 1794-IF4I analog input module can be mounted on several different terminal bases available from the Allen-Bradley 1794 I/O product line. The 1794-IF4I analog input module is normally calibrated through GUI, but it can also be calibrated with ladder logic.
If the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1794-IF4I Flex I/O analog input module is calibrated with ladder logic, the ladder logic that is used needs to be entered into the processor memory in the controller that the input module is connected to. If the ladder logic is not entered in the processor memory, the controller cannot initiate BTWs for the input module, the input module cannot send the controller inputs that it can read, and the input module will not be calibrated. The 1794-IF4I analog input module can be used safely in an industrial environment that has a Pollution Degree 2 hazard rating.
