The 1794-IE8K input module from Allen-Bradley is an industrial input module with 8 input points that is approved for use in European Zone 2 hazardous locations and in North American hazardous locations. If the 1794-IE8K input module is installed in a suitable enclosure for protection it can operate safely for a long time in these hazardous and demanding industrial environments. It is part of the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O series. To make a complete Allen-Bradley Flex I/O series device, the 1794-IE8K input module can connect to a variety of terminal bases and adapter modules. The adapter modules act as power supplies and 1 adapter module can provide power for as many as 8 I/O modules like the 1794-IE8K input module. The terminal bases host most of the wiring for the Flex I/O device, which makes the device easy to install, service, and upgrade.
