The Allen-Bradley 1794-IB8 module is an I/O module with 8 digital sink inputs. It has a nominal voltage rating of 24 Volts DC. It is an SIL2 rated module that is suitable for industrial use. The 1794-IB8 Flex I/O digital input module should be used in a Pollution Degree 2 rated industrial environment at up to an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The module comes with an open enclosure and it is rated for indoor use only. It has a basic insulation voltage type of 50 Volts between the field side and the system. No isolation is present between individual input channels. The 1794-IB8 module can be mounted by using a DIN rail and it can be attached to the panel of the host PLC system.
