The Allen-Bradley 1794-ACNR15XT module is a communications adapter module with a maximum I/O module capacity of 8 and with 2 ControlNet BNC ports. The 1794-ACNR15XT adapter is part of the 1794 Flex I/O product line from Allen-Bradley and it can be used for providing redundant ControlNet communication at a 5 Mbps communication data rate. While standard ControlNet adapters from Allen-Bradley support a 0 to 55 degrees Celsius operating temperature, the 1794-ACNR15XT module supports extended temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius. The adapter is installed on a DIN rail and it has an environmental protection rating of IP 20. The adapter is not intended for use in residential environments. The 1794-ACNR15XT adapter is designed for use in a Pollution Degree 2 industrial environment.
The 1794-ACNR15XT adapter has an open enclosure and it should be installed inside another enclosure that is suitable for the environment where it will be installed. The module is approved for installation in hazardous locations with the proper enclosure.
