The Allen-Bradley 1794-ACNR15K module is a conformally coated ControlNet adapter module. It is designed to meet the noxious gas safety requirements of the ISA/ANSI-71/040 1985 Class G3 environmental standards. The 1794-ACNR15K module mounts on a DIN rail which should be secured at intervals of every 200 millimeters. The dimensions of the adapter are 3.4 x 3.7 x 2.7 inches. Two ControlNet interfaces are available on the 1794-ACNR15K module and therefore the adapter can be used for network redundancy. The data rate for the communication interfaces is 5 Mbps. Allen-Bradley recommends using Belden RG-6/U cables for the ControlNet network. The power to the module should be disconnected when the ControlNet cable is being connected or disconnected to prevent the occurrence of electrical arcs. The adapter is certified by the CE, C-Tick, EEx, and CSA standards.
