About 1794-ACNR15
The Allen-Bradley 1794-ACNR15 module is a ControlNet adapter module which supports network redundancy. It is part of the 1794 Flex I/O family which is designed to interface I/O modules to an I/O scanner port across a communication network. The 1794-ACNR15 adapter module contains an integrated power supply for converting 24 Volts DC voltage to the 5 Volts DC voltage which is required to transfer and receive I/O data for the network. The 1794 Flex I/O modules which support the ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet, and Profibus network can be ordered from Allen-Bradley. Single or redundant media support is available on Ethernet and ControlNet adapters. The features of the ControlNet adapters include repeatable and deterministic data delivery, redundancy, and the high-speed transfer of critical data between the controller and industrial I/O devices.
The 1794-ACNR15 adapter is certified by numerous industrial standards including the KC, Cl, TUV, CE, and C-Tick standards. The module supports version 1.25 of the ControlNet protocol and a 5 Mbps data transmission rate. Two ControlNet BNC interfaces are available on the adapter for providing network redundancy. Either a standard RG-6 cable with the part number 1786-RG6 or a high-flex cable with the part number 1786-RG6F/A should be used for the ControlNet communication interfaces. The module’s weight is 7.76 ounces and the module dimensions are 87 x 94 x 92 millimeters. The 1794-ACNR15 adapter module runs on DC input and it draws 400 milliamps of current from a power supply with a nominal voltage rating of 24 Volts DC.
