The Allen-Bradley 1794-ACN module is a communication adapter module. It belongs to the 1794 Flex I/O product line which includes several adapters which support the Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Remote I/O, and Profibus networks. The 1794-ACN module is a ControlNet adapter which can satisfy industrial requirements including high speed data transfer and media redundancy requirements. The 1794-ACN module supports a 5 Mbps communication data rate and its I/O module capacity is 8 modules at a time. The status indicators available on the module include a Comm A red/green LED, a Comm B red/green LED, and an I/O status red/green LED. The module supports version 1.25 of the ControlNet protocol. One ControlNet BNC interface is available on the module. The current consumption rating of the module is 400 milliamps from an external power supply which is rated for 24 Volts DC.
