The 5094-RTB32C terminal base component module has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley to be a terminal base assembly module for input and output modules from the Allen-Bradley Flex 5000 series. The 5094-RTB32C terminal base component module is manufactured specifically as a removable terminal block or RTB module that makes up part of a complete terminal base when it is connected to a mounting base. This removable terminal block module is designed to accommodate an output module with 32 output channels, and it comes with enough input and output terminal strips to host the connections for all of input and output wiring for the output module, the commons connections, the power connections, and the customer power supply connections.
The physical features of the Allen-Bradley Flex 5000 5094-RTB32C removable terminal block module include an I/O edge connector, an I/O module guide rail, keyswitches, and a shield bar. The keyswitches are used to lock the output module in place when it is installed on the removable terminal block module, and they prevent the wrong module from being installed. The shield bar does not ship with the 5094-RTB32C removable terminal block module and it must be purchased separately, but it is highly recommended to install a shield bar on the RTB module because it will provide an extra measure of safety to the device and the operators. Shield bars are especially recommended for analog modules and for high-speed counter modules. The maximum level of SA or sensor actuator power that the 5094-RTB32C removable terminal block module can handle is 10 Amps of current at 18 to 32 Volts DC voltage.
