About 5094-RTB3
The 5094-RTB3 terminal block is manufactured by Allen-Bradley as a FLEX 5000 RTB or removable terminal block. In a complete FLEX 5000 machine controller system, the 5094-RTB3 removable terminal block is connected to a FLEX 5000 I/O module. However, this removable terminal block and the mounting base for the block and the I/O module do not ship with the I/O module and must be ordered separately. The terminal block and the mounting base are meant to be connected to form a terminal base assembly. The 5094-RTB3 terminal block has the T4 temperature rating from the IECEx temp code, the ATEX/IECEx temp code, and the North American temp code, which means that it can be used safely in most kinds of industrial environments and within a significant ambient temperature range.
The Allen-Bradley 5094-RTB3 FLEX 5000 removable terminal block, together with its compatible mounting base, is the place where all of the field wiring for the I/O module that it hosts is connected. This wiring setup makes it easy for the I/O module to be connected and disconnected quickly and it reduces the complexity of the whole controller’s wiring system. The features of the 5094-RTB3 removable terminal block include keyswitches, an edge connector, a captive mounting screw, a shield bar, and I/O terminal strips.
