The 5094-OW8I output module is a Flex 5000 relay output module from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is a digital output module with 8 isolated output channels. The purpose of the 5094-OW8I digital output module is to drive a variety of output devices. How it functions in a given application will depend on the data that it is given from a controller or from input modules. Like other Flex 5000 I/O modules, the 5094-OW8I digital output module can communicate through the producer-consumer communication method which allows for the exchange of intelligent data between it and other devices without it or the other devices needing to be polled before they produce their data. The 5094-OW8I output module can be configured with the Allen-Bradley Studio Logix Designer application, and it is compatible with some of the Logix 5000 series controllers.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Flex 5000 5094-OW8I digital output module meets the European Hazardous Location Approval rating as well as the IEC Hazardous Location Approval rating. There is a label on the front panel that the operators can slide in and out and that they can write on to identify the output module clearly. There is also a module status indicator and an SA power status indicator on the front panel.
