Allen-Bradley manufactures the 5094-ECR-QTY5 end cap as a backplane end cap that comes with the EtherNet/IP adapter that it is made for. It belongs to the FLEX 5000 series of I/O modules, and it is meant to be installed on the terminal base on the right side of the host module. The 5094-ECR-QTY5 FLEX 5000 backplane end cap is specially designed to help cover the most recently fixed terminal base as well as any other interconnections that are not already covered on the adapter of the module. If the end cap is not installed before turning on the system, there may be an injury to the users from electric shock or damages to the equipment. This backplane end cap should be installed on the last terminal base after the operator has installed the other system modules in the system. This Allen-Bradley end cap comes in a pack of 5 end caps.
During the installation of the Allen-Bradley 5094-ECR-QTY5 backplane end cap, the operators are advised to ensure that it is not locked. In case the backplane end cap is locked, the users are advised to pull the tab until it clicks to unlock it. The operators should press the backplane end cap to the DIN rail side when the system is being mounted on the rail.
