The Allen-Bradley 5094-AENTRXT adapter is an Ethernet/IP adapter module from the Allen-Bradley FLEX 5000 series. This adapter module is made to support the I/O modules in a FLEX 5000 controller system and it can support up to 8 I/O modules at a time. The 5094-AENTRXT adapter module uses copper media and it can communicate at speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1 Gbps. It uses the Allen-Bradley 1606-XLP72E power supply.
The Allen-Bradley 5094-AENTRXT Ethernet/IP adapter module can monitor different features of the system. The end cap in the FLEX 5000 system is important because it is meant to be installed on the last adapter module or the last terminal base on the system’s DIN rail to prevent dust, debris, and moisture from entering the internal parts of the module or base and to prevent the operators from coming into contact with live wires and experiencing electric shock. It is also recommended to use a different power supply for the 5094-AENTRXT adapter module and for its base to prevent the errors that are common when only 1 power supply is used for both devices.
The 5094-AENTRXT Ethernet/IP adapter module is manufactured by Allen-Bradley to support 1 to 8 FLEX 5000 I/O modules in a controller system. It can communicate over the Ethernet network at a speed of up to 1 Gbps.
