The 1797-IBN16 input module is a FLEX Ex I/O series input module that has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is made to be installed on a compatible terminal base unit such as the Allen-Bradley 1797-TB3 terminal base unit or the Allen-Bradley 1797-TB3S terminal base unit. When the 1797-IBN16 input module is installed on either of these terminal base units, the keyswitch on the terminal base unit needs to be turned to position 6 so that the module can be installed, and the keyswitch must not be turned again after the module is installed.
