The 1797-PS1E power supply module is designed to be an essential component of an intrinsically safe control system and its purpose is to isolate all of the unsafe incoming power and to limit the power that is available to levels that are intrinsically safe. Additionally, this module is the only power supply that the whole intrinsically safe Flex Ex I/O system and its components like valves, transmitters, and actuators need.
