The 1797-IE8NF input module from Allen-Bradley is a Flex Ex I/O series analog input module that comes with a noise filter. This input module can be used in an Allen-Bradley Flex Ex I/O system when it is installed on a compatible terminal base unit that has a keyswitch. The keyswitch on the terminal base unit needs to be turned to position 8 to install the 1797-IE8NF noise filter input module, and the keyswitch should not be turned again once the module is installed and wired. Additionally, the terminal base unit should never be installed or removed until after the backplane power has been disconnected. The terminal base for the 1797-IE8NF noise filter input module has a flexbus connector that needs to be pushed all the way to the left before the module can be installed. This connector allows the module to connect to neighboring devices in the system like other modules and adapters.
