About 1786-RPT
The 1786-RPT module is a ControlNet repeater module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This panel-mounted repeater module operates with a voltage rating of 85 to 250 Volts AC. It also has a current rating of 60 milliamps. The running frequency of the repeater module ranges between 47 and 63 Hertz. The repeater module is used to increase the number of nodes in a system and to extend the length of the segment or create a network configuration. The 1786-RPT repeater module is used to connect network segments to form links. The front side of the repeater comes with 2 LED indicators for status and troubleshooting. A fault relay contact is present for the status indicator and the fault relay opens when there is a fault in the repeater.
The 1786-RPT repeater module uses 22 to 14 AWG cables for barrier strip conductors. The environmental temperature should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius for regular operation. The repeater is small and it weighs 1.9 pounds. It comes with agency certifications like the UL, CE, and SA certifications. During the installation, the 14 AWG cable is used to connect the repeater to the ground bus. The front terminal strip cover is removed to connect the BNC connector on the repeater.
