The Allen-Bradley 1791-NDC Analog Block I/O Module is a 6-point module (4 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs) that is designed to control and monitor external input and output devices that are remotely connected to a PLC processor. The 1791-NDC Block I/O Module has a back-panel remote I/O connector port and a DH-485 port for communication with the Allen-Bradley PLC-5, 5/250, 3, and PLC-2 series programmable controllers, and with the SLC-5/02 modular controllers. The 1791-NDC provides 4 current/voltage inputs that are capable of accepting +/-10 Volts, +/-5 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, 0 to 5 Volts DC, or 0 to 20 milliamps. All 4 inputs are user-configurable for current or voltage inputs. Every input channel has a 0.1% (25 degrees Celsius) absolute accuracy value and a common mode rejection value of -75 Decibels (dB).
The Allen-Bradley 1791-NDC Block I/O Module has standard update duration of 108 milliseconds per input channel and 10 Megohms of voltage output and 250 Ohms of current output impedance. The 1791-NDC Block I/O Module has 2 pre-configured current outputs that are capable of providing 0 to 20 milliamps of output current range and 20 milliamps per 1.0 Kiloohm of load drive capability. Each output circuit is designed with an internal short-circuit capability that offers indefinite short-circuit protection. The 1791-NDC Block I/O Module has an absolute output accuracy of 0.1% and an over drift accuracy of 75 Parts Per Million (PPM) per degree Celsius. Each output circuit has a signal update rate of 10 milliseconds and an overall impedance value less than 1.0 Ohm. The 1791-NDC Block I/O Module requires an external 24 Volts DC power supply with a 19.2 to 30 Volts DC supply range and a maximum current rating of 600 milliamps.
