The Allen-Bradley 1791-IOVX 24 Volts DC Block I/O Module is a small and self-contained Block I/O module with 64 source input channels and 64 sink output channels. This module supports discrete and block transfers with the SLC-500, PLC-2, 3, and 5 series programmable controllers via the Remote I/O link. The 1791-IOVX Block I/O Module has 2 DIP switch assemblies that allow for the module’s configuration and rack addressing, and it also has status LED indicators that show the module’s status. The 1791-IOVX Block I/O Module has a total of 64 sinking inputs with a 12 to 26 Volts DC voltage range and a 300 milliamps maximum operating current rating. The inputs are grouped in 4 groups of 16 inputs each and each group is electrically isolated. The 1791-IOVX Block I/O Module has an air gap-type of group to group isolation and optotype isolation between individual input circuits and the system isolation. Each input circuit has an off-state voltage rating of 7.0 Volts DC and the signals delay within the circuit can last up to 10 milliseconds.
The Allen-Bradley 1791-IOVX I/O Block also has 64 sinking-type outputs that are grouped into 4 groups of 16 output channels each.
