The Allen-Bradley 800T-N40 cap is a button cap from the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 800T series of pushbuttons and accessories. This button cap was designed as a replacement translucent red cap for compatible pushbuttons. The red 800T-N40 button cap can be used as push-to-test button cap or as a pilot light button cap in standard pushbutton applications. The 800T-N40 cap was designed to be durable, ergonomic, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to identify. It was made from an amorphous nylon material that is transparent and designed to be resistant to corrosive elements in its operating environment. The 800T-N40 button cap was also designed to be easy to install. It conforms to global industrial standards such as the CCC, CE, CSA, and UL standards. The 800T-N40 button cap’s dielectric strength rating is 2200 Volts for 1 minute. Its vibration rating is 10 to 2000 Hertz. The 800T-N40 button cap can be used with pushbuttons that operate at 600 Volts of AC or DC voltage. It is a 30-millimeter cap. The 800T-N40 button cap has a minimum mechanical lifecycle rating of 250,000 operations. Its maximum typical operating force rating is 5 pounds. The 800T-N40 button cap can be used in environments with ambient temperatures between -25 and 40 degrees Celsius or -13 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit, but it should only be used at temperatures below freezing if there is no moisture or liquids in its environment. This button cap can be stored in environments with ambient temperatures between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius or -40 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The 800T-N40 button cap can be used to replace a damaged button cap on an installed device or to complete a device that was ordered without a button cap.
