About 5069-RTB64-SPRING

The Allen-Bradley 5069-RTB64-SPRING Removable Terminal Block Kit is part of a Sensor/Actuator (SA) and MOD power RTB kit designed for connecting the system and field-side wiring of CompactLogix 5380 controllers, Compact GuardLogix 5380 controllers, and the 5069-AEN2TR EtherNet/IP adapter. The 5069-RTB64-SPRING RTB kit is supplied as a factory-packaged kit comprising one 5069-RTB4-SPRING MOD power RTB, one 5069-RTB6-SPRING SA power RTB, and a factory-supplied terminal screws pack. Both of the RTBs are designed with spring clamp terminals that provide simplified system-side and field-side wiring without requiring specialized tools. The 5069-RTB64-SPRING kit RTBs, like every Allen-Bradley 5069 removable terminal block, are supplied separately from the modules and they do not support removal and insertion under power. While the 4-pin 5069-RTB4-SPRING MOD power RTB is used for wiring the MOD (system side) power, the 6-pin 5069-RTB4-SPRING SA RTB is used for the wiring field-side (SA) power for the adapter.

Note, before connecting an external power source to a MOD power RTB like the 5069-RTB4-SPRING RTB from the Allen-Bradley 5069-RTB64-SPRING kit, it is recommended to size the MOD power source properly. The following steps are recommended for wiring the external SA power source to the 5069-RTB64-SPRING’s MOD power RTB: strip about 10 millimeters (0.39 inches) of insulation from the wire, push the wire into the terminal while clamping down the terminal edge with a screwdriver, and turn on the power to the module. The following steps are also recommended for installing the 5069-RTB6-SPRING SA power RTB on the EtherNet adapter module: turn off the power source, hook the bottom of the RTB 5069-RTB6-SPRING SA power RTB firmly onto the adapter, and push down until the RTB clicks firmly into place.

The Allen-Bradley 5069-RTB64-SPRING Compact 5000 I/O Remote Terminal Block is a power RTB for the Compact 5000 I/O system. This block is supplied in an RTB kit containing one 5069-RTB4-SPRING RTB and one 5069-RTB6-SPRING RTB.
