About 5069-RTB18-SPRING
The Allen-Bradley 5069-RTB18-SPRING Removable Terminal Block or RTB is a terminal base that is used for wiring the Allen-Bradley Compact 5000 I/O series modules. The Compact 5000 I/O product line offers a wide selection of input and output modules to accommodate a wide range of applications, and they can be used in either local or remote device configurations. The 5069-RTB18-SPRING Removable Terminal Block is not supplied with an I/O module and it must be ordered separately. The 5069-RTB18-SPRING Removable Terminal Block provides a spring-type removable terminal for all of the module’s field-side wiring. It does not support insertion and removal under power and this means that the power must be turned off before the removal or installation of the RTB.
The 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB uses 0.5 x 1.5 square millimeters (22 to 16 AWG) stranded/solid shielded copper wire rated at 105.0 degrees Celsius (221 degrees Fahrenheit) that has a maximum insulation length 10 millimeters (0.39 inches) and a diameter of 3.5 millimeters (0.14 inches). The 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB is compatible with all of the Allen-Bradley Compact 5000 I/O modules. The 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB has spring clamp terminals that allow for easy and simplified field-side wiring without the use of specialized tools. The 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB can be installed with the following steps: disconnect the power from the module, hook the bottom of the 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB to the module, and push the removable terminal block against the module until it clicks into place. The wiring connections on the terminal are made by pushing the spring clamp into place with a screwdriver and then pushing the wires into the terminals. The 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB has an open style enclosure and it can be used within a suitable enclosure for protection.
The Allen-Bradley 5069-RTB18-SPRING Removable Terminal Block is an 18-pin wiring base for the Compact 5000 I/O system modules. This RTB is used with all Compact 5000 I/O modules, and it has spring-type terminals.
