About 5069-RTB18-SCREW
The Allen-Bradley 5069-RTB18-SCREW Removable Terminal Block or RTB is an 18-pin wiring base for the modules from the Allen-Bradley Compact 5000 I/O system. This I/O system offers a wide variety of output and input modules that can handle many different industrial applications, from the high-speed digital applications to industrial process control applications. This I/O framework utilizes a consumer-oriented design that allows for the sharing of the output status and the input data between Logix 5000 controllers. The 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB provides a simplified RTB for all field-side wiring of the compatible Compact 5000 I/O modules. This 18-pin removable terminal block is used for connecting all of the system side and field-side wiring of all the Compact 5000 I/O modules except the 5069-AEN2TR Compact 5000 adapter module.
The 5069-RTB18-SCREW Removable Terminal Block is sold separately from the compatible I/O modules and it cannot be removed or inserted under power. It offers screw-type terminal ends that provide simplified and convenient wiring and that eliminate the need for additional tools. The 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB is supplied as an assembled kit comprising one 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB and some installation screws. The wiring of the 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB is simplified via the screw terminals. To wire the terminals, verify that the external power is turned off, strip at least 12 millimeters (0.47 inches) of insulation from the wires, insert the stripped end into the terminal, and turn the screw with 0.4 N-m (3.5 pounds on an inch) of rated screw torque to close the terminal on the wire. The 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB supports shielded solid or stranded copper conductors with 0.50 x 1.50 millimeters (22 to 16 AWG) recommended conductor sizes and a standard insulation diameter of 3.5 millimeters (0.14 inches).
