This controller is a central processing unit that is is able to monitor and control up to 31 continuous processes and 1000 programs or tasks, with a dedicated program section exclusive for 1 predefined task that is known as a safety task. The Allen-Bradley 5069-L3100ERMS2 Compact GuardLogix SIL 2 Controller is simple to configure by the users, because it supports programming languages and interfaces such as ladder diagrams, structured text, function block diagrams, and sequential function charts. This PLC controller module is one of the most expandable SIL 2 controller solutions provided by Allen-Bradley that is able to incorporate up to 32 local I/O modules into the users’ control architecture.
