The Allen-Bradley 5069-L306ERS2 Compact GuardLogix 5380 SIL 2 Controller is the central processing unit of an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix programmable logic controller system. It has been designed to work as a standalone controller, and offers remote connectivity options that are accessible through 1 high-speed USB-2 port and 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports, which can be assigned independent IP addresses (in the Dual-IP communication mode) or work with the same IP address (Linear/DLR mode). The Allen-Bradley 5069-L306ERS2 Compact GuardLogix 5380 SIL 2 Controller can be programmed using ladder diagrams, function block diagrams, structured text, or sequential function charts, both remotely through any of the Ethernet ports or by a console in the field by using a proprietary USB connection cable. Up to 8 standard or safety I/O modules can be connected to the CompactLogix Controller Module by using the appropriate remote terminal blocks (RTB).
