About 5069-ARM
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 5069-ARM module is an I/O address reserve module or ARM device for the 5069 Compact 5000 series Allen-Bradley systems and components. The purpose of the 5069-ARM module is to reserve a node address in different Compact 5000 control and I/O systems. It meets the CE, EN, and IEC industrial standards. It should be installed in an enclosure with at least an IP 54 protection rating when it is used in hazardous locations and it should not be directly exposed to sunlight or other sources of UV radiation. When installing the 5069-ARM module in a system, the controller that it will work with or the controller’s adapter module must be installed first. This address reserve module can be installed next to any Compact 500 series I/O module in the system.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 5069-ARM module can use module or MOD power, but it cannot work with sensor-actuator or SA power. For safety, it is recommended to set up the whole system so that the 5069-ARM module can draw its MOD power from a different external power source than the other devices in the system if those devices are using SA power. Additionally, having multiple power sources in the same system means that if 1 power supply fails, not all of the power to the system is lost, which minimizes downtime and the chances of data loss. The 5069-ARM module can be grounded through its DIN rail, which needs to be a yellow chromate steel DIN rail with zinc plating. The address reserve module’s maximum air temperature rating is 140 degrees Fahrenheit and its operating temperature range is 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
