About 1788-CNCHKR

The Allen-Bradley 1788-CNCHKR ControlNet NetChecker Module is a hand-held ControlNet network checker module that is made for the Logix 5000 control system. The 1788-CNCHKR NetChecker Module is a handheld diagnostics module used for analyzing active ControlNet networks on the bus. This diagnostics module has a compact pocket-size design and it is battery-powered for field use. The 1788-CNCHKR NetChecker Module helps to simplify the commissioning and troubleshooting of ControlNet installation by verifying network signals on the ControlNet cable. This diagnostics tool helps the users locate short-circuit conditions and termination faults on the bus, and it can also be used to evaluate signal quality as well as identify nodes issues in messages in the coaxial medium. The 1788-CNCHKR Netchecker achieves these by evaluating several electrical characteristics of the signal such as the noise or signal reflection, the level of distortion, the minimum message duration, the rising and falling edges, the minimum between-message duration, and the peak-to-peak amplitude.

The Allen-Bradley 1788-CNCHKR NetChecker Module has two 1.5 Volts DC alkaline AA batteries with up to 6 hours minimum battery life when they are in continuous use, and it has a 0.25-Amp power requirement at 5 Volts DC. This module has 8 bi-color status indicators that offer both diagnostics and status functions. The 1788-CNCHKR NetChecker Module has a 3-position control switch (SW1) for setting the on, off, or momentary on-state. It also has a 4-position slide switch (SW3) for setting the diagnostic mode and low, medium, and high threshold settings. The 1788-CNCHKR NetChecker Module has 1 front-panel BNC signal input connector for connecting to the network trunk, and a 2-digit thumbwheel switch for setting the node address. The 1788-CNCHKR NetChecker Module also has a DC jack connector for connecting external DC power and a 3-pin phoenix oscilloscope connector. The 1788-CNCHKR NetChecker Module weighs approximately 250 grams and has total mounting dimensions of 164 x 83 33.5 millimeters (with a BNC connector).

The Allen-Bradley 1788-CNCHKR ControlNet NetChecker Module is a hand-held ControlNet network checker module from the Logix 5000 control system. This module has two 1.5 Volts DC AA batteries with up 6 hours of battery life and 8 bi-color status LEDs.
