The 1788-CN2FFR linking device is a linking device module from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation that is geared for the ControlNet network. The specific purpose of the 1788-CN2FFR linking device module is to connect a ControlNet network to a Foundation Fieldbus network and to operate as a gateway between the 2 networks. The operators can configure the 1788-CN2FFR linking device module with a dedicated AOP (Add-On Profile) and with the Studio 5000 Logix Designer application. This module supports different kinds of media redundancy and up to 16 different field devices.
