Allen-Bradley engineered the 1732E-16CFGM12R ArmorBlock module with one (1) small I/O module and one (1) inbuilt dual Ethernet connection port. This unit is a member of the ArmorBlock lineup, and its IP65 safeguarding rating refers that it doesn't need to be set up inside of an enclosure. It uses M12 D-code connectors for Ethernet I/P, mini-stye network connectors for auxiliary energy input, and M12 type input/output connectors for output and input connections. The 1732E-16CFGM12R additionally comes with address node switches so that the network ID number of the module may be set. The inbuilt Ethernet nodes function as embedded switches that are fully compatible with DLR and linear topologies, and both ports handle 10/100 Mbps full-duplex and half-duplex connections. This ArmorBlock unit has sixteen (16) separate input units that allow sink cabling configuration and accept 24 volts of DC voltage signals (input). Each input channel has a minimum on-state information of 11 VDC and a maximum on-state input of 30 VDC. Similarly, the maximum on-state input current of 5 mA (milliamps) occurs at 30 VDC. There is a typical signal transition delay of 0 to 16000 µs (microseconds) for each channel. The 1732E-16CFGM12R features sixteen (16) output channels with a total output current rating of 8 amps per module and sixteen (16) 24 VDC source output channels. For every output channel, there is a minimum surge current of 1.2 amps for 10 milliseconds, which can be repeated every two seconds. The 1732E-16CFGM12R comes with inbuilt status indicators for the module, network, link, auxiliary power, and input/output LED condition. The auxiliary voltage span for this module is 12–30 volts of DC.
