Allen-Bradley's 1732 ArmorBlock series contains a variety of Ethernet/IP I/O modules. These modules can be used on-machine in a variety of applications. Using the 1732 ArmorBlock modules on-machine reduces system costs, boosts the mean time to repair (MTTR) rating, enhances control system reliability, raises productivity, and increases flexibility. The ArmorBlock I/O modules have low profiles and compact designs. Each module is enclosed in a protective enclosure and features I/O circuits, a built-in power supply, and an EtherNet/IP network adapter. As a result, the 1732 ArmorBlock modules are ideal for applications where space is limited, or where the modules must be mounted directly on the machine. The 1732 ArmorBlock modules have enclosures with ingress protection ratings of IP65, IP66, IP67, and IP69K. ArmorBlock I/O modules are available with 4, 8, or 16 I/O points, and the blocks can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The points can be configured to be input-only, output-only, input/output, or self-configuring. The self-configuring blocks support any combination of inputs and outputs and have automatic output monitoring. Electronic fusing is available on select output blocks, and this fusing protects output load devices and supports simple resetting. The DC micro (M12) or Pico (M8) quick disconnects are used for I/O terminations. The inputs and outputs on the 1732 ArmorBlock modules operate at 24V DC voltage. The operating temperature range of the 1732 ArmorBlock modules is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius (-4 to 140 °F). The 1732 ArmorBlock Ethernet/IP modules can support communication ratings of 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps, and they can support full-duplex and half-duplex setups.
