The 1609-B600N module is an Allen-Bradley 1609 series UPS or uninterruptable power supply that is used to provide backup power during periods of mains supply outage in a system. The 1609-B600N uninterruptable power supply supports a capacity of 600 VA or 360 Watts. The nominal input and output voltage ratings of this power supply are both 120 Volts. When the 1609-B600N uninterruptable power supply is running on a battery, the total harmonic distortion is 47.5%. On battery, the power supply’s efficiency with a resistive load is 80%. When the 1609-B600N uninterrupted power supply is online, the power supply’s efficiency with a resistive load is 94%. This power supply can sustain 110 to 130% overload for 5 seconds before it shuts down. The 1609-B600N module can also shut down immediately at 130% overload. When on battery, this power supply shuts down when a short circuit occurs on the output side. Thermal protection is available for internal temperatures of up to 70 degrees Celsius. The 1609-B600N uninterruptable power supply provides greater than 5 minutes of backup at a full load. It is equipped with a sealed lead-acid battery pack rated for 24 Volts. The battery recharge time is less than 12 hours for 90% capacity after a discharge at a full load. The lifespan of the battery is 2 to 3 years at 25 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. The standard operating temperature range for the battery is from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. When online at a full load, the 1609-B600N power supply’s heat output rating is 107 BTU per hour. When charging at a full load, the power supply’s heat dissipation rating is 160 BTU per hour. When on battery at a full load, the 1609-B600N’s heat dissipation rating is 1228 BTU per hour. The rated audible noise is less than 45 dBA. The approximate weight of the 1609-B600N uninterruptable power supply module is 14.5 kilograms, and its dimensions are 155 x 300 x 180 millimeters.
