The 1606-XLS480E-3C Power Supply is a 1606 series high-performance power supply module that has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It comes with a reduced size and enhanced performance for providing low-cost industrial power solutions. The 1606-XLS480E-3C Power Supply has finger-actuated spring clamp terminals for a secure and time-saving wiring process. It features the smallest per Watt profile that is available and significant reverse current capabilities to ensure reliability. This module can be easily installed on a DIN rail without the need for screws, drilling, or any tools or pre-made holes. The 1606-XLS480E-3C Power Supply has 50,000 run hours of estimated service life when it is operated at a full-rated load. Up to 150% of the rated power is available for up to 5 seconds as a power boost.   

The 1606-XLS480E-3C Power Supply has 24 to 28 Volts of output voltage and 20 Amps of rated output current at 24 Volts. It provides industry-leading efficiency and extended service life. The output is electronically protected against overloads. It has an overload design which offers up to 180% continuous nominal current with no negative thermal effect. Its effectiveness increases when it is wired in a parallel setup. The operational voltage range of the 1606-XLS480E-3C Power Supply is 323 to 552 Volts AC or 450 to 780 Volts DC. The output terminals are the positive output, negative output, and the “DC OK” relay contact. The input terminals are reserved for 3-phase line inputs and a protective earth. The output voltage potentiometer can be used for tuning the output voltage. The default factory setting is 24.1 Volts. This module also has a green “DC OK” LED and a red “Overload” LED to indicate its operating status. This power supply provides high levels of performance for special applications.
