The 1606-XL240E module is a power supply from Allen-Bradley which provides a power boost of up to 288 Watts, robust mechanics, and EMC immunity. The input of the power supply module supports 230/115 Volts AC power and 240 to 375 Volts DC power. The output voltage range is 24 to 28 Volts DC and output power is 240 Watts. There is no disconnection or hiccup in the output of the 1606-XL240E power supply module under overload conditions. The supply can sustain up to 1.6 times the nominal output current under overload conditions and the output voltage reduces gradually with an increase in the output current. The current input to the 1606-XL240E power supply module is less than 2.6 Amps when the switch is in 240 Volts position and it is less than 6 Amps when switch is in the 115 Volts position.
The DC input current with an open output is 8 milliamps which helps to preserve the battery resources. Allen-Bradley recommends using a slow-acting fuse rated for 10 Amps or a 149-SPUIC100 supplementary protector for protecting the primary side of the 1606-XL240E power supply module.
