The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480EC Power Supply with a conformal coating gives the final users a flexible and durable power source that is able to withstand the heavily polluted and contaminant atmospheres commonly found in the settings where industrial applications such as petrochemical processes or wastewater treatment are carried out. This power supply has a thin protective film of polymeric coating directly over its electronic boards, which gives it an extraordinary capability to operate safely in corrosive environments. The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480EC Power Supply with a conformal coating uses either 100 to 240 Volts AC voltage or 110 to 300 Volts DC voltage in order to produce a stable output power of 24 Volts DC, 20 Amps, and 480 Watts. Short-circuit protection is provided by means of a 10 Amps slow-blow fuse which can be bought separately and is known as the 1489-A1C100 fuse.
The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480EC Power Supply with a conformal coating is designed for operation in a -25 to +70 degrees Celsius temperature range, and this means that it is suitable for applications in extremely hot or extremely cold environments. In industrial environments where the maximum temperature rating may be exceeded, a climate control system such as an enclosure air conditioner or a forced ventilation system should be installed. The small dimensions (only 64 x 124 x 102 millimeters) of the Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480EC Power Supply with a conformal coating and its low weight (only 740 grams) make it an ideal replacement for old legacy power supplies in applications that are under renovation. Any maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and mounting operations for this power supply should be carried out by properly trained electrical or electronic technicians in order to guarantee trouble-free operation according to the required local and national safety guidelines.
The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480EC Power Supply with a conformal coating is specifically designed with additional protection against environmental humidity and corrosion by means of a thin polymeric film or varnish applied directly over the electronic board during the manufacturing process. This power source is suitable for use with AC input voltages between 100 and 240 Volts AC and DC voltages between 110 and 300 Volts DC.
