The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480E-D Power Supply is a member of the Performance family of the 1606 power supplies that are designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley to deliver the highest level of efficiency between 91.6 and 95%. It is able to accommodate both AC and DC power lines with power ranges of 100 to 240 Volts AC or 110 to 300 Volts DC. The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480E-D Power Supply’s rated output voltage is 24 Volts DC, and it is able to provide a rated current of 20 Amps. It is protected against short-circuits by a 10 Amps slow-blow fuse that is known as the 1489-A1C100 slow-blow fuse. Both the input and output wiring connections are provided with lever-type appliances for the quick and easy connection and disconnection of wires in the field, allowing the users to reduce the installation time and to simplify the troubleshooting procedures.

The input connection port of the Allen-Bradley 1606-XLS480E-D Power Supply is located at the bottom left side of the unit and it has 3 independent terminals marked with “N” for the neutral terminal, “L” for the line, and with the ground symbol for the ground. Likewise, the output port is located near the upper right side of the power supply and it features 2 sets of lever-type wire connection outlets marked with the plus and minus symbols, and rated at 20 Amps and 24 Volts DC.
