About 1606-XLERED
The 1606-XLERED module is a redundant power supply module that is made by Allen-Bradley. It supports current of up to 20 Amps and it makes use of diodes to isolate the 2 inputs that it has. It also comes with a separate monitoring circuit. The front side of the power supply module has relay contacts and LED indicators. It runs with a DC input voltage rating of 18 to 60 Volts DC and with an output current rating of 40 Amps. The peak input current of the power supply module is 150 milliamps for a time period of 10 milliseconds. The operational temperature range should be set between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius and it can be stored at a temperature between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius when not in use. The installation environment should be relatively humid with a maximum of 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
The 1606-XLERED power supply module is certified with an IP 20 rating and a Class III level of protection. The module offers different safety features including over temperature protection, reverse input polarity protection, penetration protection, and return voltage resistance. The 1606-XLERED module can be mounted using a DIN rail with the input terminals on top and the output terminals on the bottom. During the installation, proper air flow should not be obstructed. The unit temperature is maintained by using a convection cooling method. The input and output terminal uses 20-10 AWG solid and stranded wires. The power supply is suitable for different industrial environments as well as commercial sectors. The 1606-XLERED power supply module is listed with the cULus standard and it is CE marked.
