The Allen-Bradley 1336 adjustable frequency AC drives are microprocessor-based drives that can control 3-phase induction motors in a wide range of industrial applications. The 1336 drives can be used in machine tools, HVAC, pumping, and conveyor system applications. These drives use PWM adjustable frequency output to control the connected motors’ speed. The 1336 drives are designed to match the parameters of the motors they control. The 1336 series adjustable frequency drives use standard Volts per Hertz control technology that supports constant torque and adaptable speed control with a 150% overload capability. Some of the 1336 drives can operate with 3-phase input voltage ratings of 380/415/460V AC at 50/60 Hertz frequency, and some drives can operate with 500/575V AC of 3-phase voltage at 50/60 Hertz frequency. The 1336 drives support overvoltage and undervoltage trip ratings for AC input voltage and DC bus voltage. The 1336 drives all include a MOV (metal oxide varistor) that protects them from voltage surges. The MOVs are designed for surge suppression, but they are not designed for continuous operation. The 1336 adjustable frequency AC drives support operating temperature ranges of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius or 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The operating shock rating of the 1336 drives is 15G peak for 11 milliseconds, and the vibration rating of the 1336 drives is 0.006 inches (0.152 mm) of displacement, 1G peak. The 1336 adjustable frequency drives are available with IP00, IP20, IP56, or IP54 enclosures. The type of enclosure that a 1336 series drive is compatible with depends on its size and other ratings.
