The product code 6248BP10821 is the product code for an ABB/Taylor electronic assembly that is compatible with the 6248BP10811 block. This Model 300 assembly is available through Series 623/624 and it includes 16 output circuits that are arranged in 4 equal isolated groups. This relay output block is compatible with various GE Fanuc Genius bus interface modules and modules of the PCIM or QBIM type. Additionally, the unit supports operation with an optional hand-held monitor that is helpful in certain applications. The Model 300 relay output blocks and components are built for either 115 Volts or 230 Volts AC rated power sources and they are made with LEDs that indicate block operation and the communications of the CPU. The 6248BP10821 electronic assembly includes the “Unit OK” and “I/O Enabled” indicators along with LEDs for each circuit. The circuit indicators show the individual relay coil state.

 

The ABB/Taylor 6248BP10821 electronic assembly features a fixed coil moving armature and it includes maximum initial contact resistance of 100 milliohms. The block components from this series have a typical lifespan of 100,000 to 200,000 operations, depending on the operating voltage that is used. The 6248BP10821 electronic assembly includes output groups with common input terminals. These blocks can have either normally-open or normally-closed outputs. The 6248BP10821 electronic assembly operates within a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and it has a solid resistance to the levels of vibration that may occur in an industrial environment. The power requirements of the unit include 87 milliamps of current at 115 Volts AC.
