Terminal Assembly for 6246BP10810
The ABB 6246BP10830 terminal assembly is a 115 Volts AC/125 Volts DC terminal assembly. The 6246BP10830 terminal assembly is compatible with the 6246BP10810 module, which is a complete unit with failed switched diagnostics, and the 6246BP10811 module, which is a complete unit without failed switched diagnostics. Both the 6246BP10810 and the 6246BP10811 blocks include an electronics assembly in addition to the 6246BP10830 terminal assembly. These I/O modules and their constituent components, the electronics assembly and terminal assembly, are part of ABB TRIO product line and they are used to collect Genius I/O points which are located remotely in an industrial plant.
The recommended operating temperature range for the 6246BP10830 terminal assembly is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the recommended temperature range for storage and transportation is from -40 to 100 degrees Celsius. The ABB 6246B isolated I/O blocks interface with discrete DC and AC sensors and actuators. The I/O blocks have a total of 8 I/O circuits which are split into 4 isolated groups with 2 I/O circuits in each group. Each circuit on the block can operate at nominal voltage of 125 Volts DC or 115 Volts AC. Each circuit on the I/O block can be configured as 1 of 3 types: a tri-state input, an input, or an output. The 6246B blocks transmit discrete signals to their respective controllers. Each group of I/O circuits has a control power terminal for a 125 Volts DC or 115 Volts AC power source for the internal electronics. The rating for the transient isolation is a maximum of 2000 Volts for a duration of 10 seconds.
