The ABB 6246BP10821 electronics assembly is an electronics assembly without a failed switched diagnostics feature. The 6246BP10821 electronics assembly is 1 of the 2 main components of the 115 Volts AC/125 Volts DC 6246BP10811 I/O block, which is a complete unit made of an electronics assembly which is the 6246BP10821 electronics assembly and a compatible terminal assembly which is the 6246BP10830. ABB also manufactures a 115 Volts AC/125 Volts DC I/O block which supports failed switch diagnostics. The 6246B isolated I/O blocks come with 8 isolated I/O circuits in 4 isolated pairs. The I/O circuits on the blocks can be configured as inputs, as outputs, and as tri-state inputs. The blocks and their components, including the 6246BP10821 electronics assembly, require a maximum of 8 Watts of control power.

 

The 6264B blocks have one LED which displays the status of the I/O block and one LED which shows whether the I/Os are enabled or disabled. The I/O blocks also have one LED to display the operational status of each I/O circuit. The block to block isolation rating is 1500 Volts. The minimum resistance of the insulation on the I/O blocks is 2.2 Megohms. The recommended size of the wire to be used for terminal wiring is 12 AWG for a single wire and 14 AWG for 2 wires. The weight of the 6264B I/O blocks is about 4 pounds each. When all the module circuits are configured as inputs, the minimum heat dissipation rating of the block is 17.8 Watts. When all the module circuits are configured as outputs and are operating at 2 Amps, the maximum heat dissipation of the I/O block is 45.6 Watts.
