ABB Block 115Vac/125Vdc Low Leak Isol I/O, w/Failed Sw Diag, 8 Ckt
The ABB 6246BP10810 I/O block is a complete I/O block which includes a terminal assembly and an electronics assembly. The 6246BP10810 I/O block is rated for 125 Volts DC and 115 Volts AC and it supports failed switch diagnostics. While the ABB 6246B I/O blocks have a common terminal assembly which has the catalog number 6246BP10830, the electronics assembly is available in 2 versions: the electronics assembly with catalog number 6246BP10811 that does not support failed switch diagnostics, or the electronics assembly with the catalog number 6246BP10820 that does support failed switch diagnostics. The 6246BP10810 I/O block comes with 8 isolated circuits which can be configured for 1 of 3 modes: input, output and tri-state input. The 6246BP10810 I/O block is designed for applications that require interfacing with discrete AC and DC inputs.
The operating voltage range supported by the 6246BP10810 I/O block is 105 to 140 Volts DC and 93 to 132 Volts AC. The line frequencies supported by the I/O block in the AC mode range from a minimum of 47 Hertz to a maximum of 63 Hertz. For optimal performance, the temperature of the air surrounding the I/O block should not exceed 60 degrees Celsius under normal operating conditions. In storage, the ambient temperature should not exceed 100 degrees Celsius. When the 8 circuits on the 6246BP10810 I/O block are configured as inputs, the I/O block dissipates a minimum of 17.8 Watts as heat. When the 8 circuits on the I/O block are configured as outputs and source 2 Amps of current, the maximum heat dissipation of the IO block can go up to 45.6 Watts. The approximate shipping weight of the I/O block is 1.8 kilograms.
