Terminal Assembly for 6245BP10710

Technical Information

The ABB 6245BP10730 unit is an industrial terminal assembly. The 6245BP10730 terminal assembly is compatible with the 6245BP10710 I/O block which is a 115 Volts AC/125 Volts DC, 50/60 Hertz low leakage I/O block. The low leakage version of the 6245B I/O blocks are designed to control loads drawing low current without added resistance at the load. The 6245B blocks have 8 combination input and output circuits rated for a nominal voltage of 115 Volts AC. The standby power consumption (when all the I/O are off) for the low leakage device version is 8.5 Watts. The minimum heat dissipation for the blocks is 4.8 Watts when the 8 circuits are configured as inputs. The maximum heat dissipation for the blocks is 43.5 Watts when the 8 circuits are configured as outputs and rated at 2 Amps.

The terminals on the 6245BP10730 terminal assembly can be wired with 2 wires that have a 14 AWG wire size or with one wire that has a 12 AWG wire size. Terminals 10 to 17 on the 6245BP10730 terminal assembly are designated for the 8 I/O channels and Terminal 10 corresponds to Channel 1. The terminal configuration as an input or output terminal is performed through software. Hot and neutral connections can be made at the 6245BP10730 terminal assembly or the connections can be bussed at the field devices. The hot and neutral connections for the I/O block and the for the field devices must be the same. The recommended minimum and maximum working ambient temperatures for the 6245BP10730 terminal assembly are 0 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius, respectively. The relative humidity (non-condensing) in the environment where the 6245BP10730 terminal assembly is installed should not exceed the recommended 5 to 95% range.
