Electronic Assembly for 6245BP10710
The ABB 6245BP10720 electronics assembly is an electronics assembly for the 115 Volts AC and 125 Volts DC rated low-leakage I/O block with the catalog number 6245BP10710. The second component of the I/O block is a terminal assembly with the catalog number 6245BP10730, and it attaches to the 6245BP10720 electronics assembly to form the whole block. The 6245B low-leakage block with 8 grouped block interfaces is designed by ABB for interfacing with sensors and actuators that provide discrete input signals. The low-leakage I/O block has the capability to control loads without requiring additional resistance at the load side. The 8 circuits on the 6245BP10710 block can operate in a voltage range from 93 to 132 Volts AC. The rated block to block isolation is 1500 Volts. The minimum insulation resistance is 2.2 megaohms.
When all I/O circuits on the ABB 6245B block are inactive, the block consumes 8.5 Watts of power. At a minimum, the I/O block dissipates 4.8 Watts of energy when all the I/O circuits are configured as inputs. The peak heat dissipation for the block is 43.5 Watts when all the I/O circuits are configured as outputs and are active with 2 Amps of current. ABB recommends a 12 AWG wire size when one wire is used for terminal wiring and a 14 AWG wire size when 2 wires are used for terminal wiring. The ambient temperature of the air surrounding the block and its components like the 6245BP10720 electronics assembly should be less than 140 degrees Fahrenheit. During storage and transportation, the ambient air temperature should be between -40 and 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The 6245B low-leakage I/O block weighs approximately 4 pounds. The vibration rating for the I/O block and the 6245BP10720 electronics assembly is 5 to 10 Hertz with a maximum displacement of 0.2 inches.
