ABB Block 115Vac I/O Low Leakage 8 Circuits
The ABB 6245BP10710 I/O block is a complete low-leakage I/O block which is rated for 115 Volts AC and 125 Volts DC. It has 2 main components which are an electronics assembly (catalog number 6245BP10720) and a terminal assembly (catalog number 6245BP10730). The 6245BP10710 I/O block is designed for applications that require interfacing with discrete AC input sensors. The low-leakage 6245BP10710 I/O block is designed for applications where the control of loads which draw low currents without additional load resistance is required. The 6245BP10710 I/O block transmits discrete signals to the controller. When receiving input data, the block receives a “1” for active inputs and a “0” for inactive inputs. Similarly, when transmitting output data, the block transmits a “1” and a “0” for each active and inactive output circuit, respectively.
There are 8 circuits on the 6245BP10710 I/O block which can be configured as inputs and as outputs. Input characteristics for the non-tri-state input in the off-state include a minimum voltage across the device of 60 Volts rms and maximum leakage through the input device of 1.5 milliamps. The input characteristics for the non-tri-state input in the on-state include a minimum voltage across the device of 20 Volts rms and a maximum switch current threshold of 6 milliamps rms. The input characteristics for the tri-state input in the off-state include an acceptable voltage across the input device of 16 to 40 Volts rms. The input characteristics for the tri-state input in the on-state include a maximum voltage across the input device of 4 Volts rms. The input processing time is 2 milliseconds plus the filter delay. The configurable input filter times are 10 to 100 milliseconds in 10-millisecond increments.
